I am one of many van de Ven boys in our family. My parents raised me, my five brothers(in descending order): Leon, Malan, (then comes Me), Maritz, Andre, Werner and my sister Marie (born in-between Andre and Werner) in a small town called Lochvaal, in Vanderbijlpark, South Africa. I was born in Sasolburg hospital. Ma says I was a smiling baby and Pa is still under impression that I am oulik (cute). hehe

My school days were in Laerskool Vaalrivier (primary school) and Sasolburg High School. I completed my IT Diploma in Vaal Triangle Technikon in Vanderbijlpark.

At the age of twenty-one, I met Alisa. We dated for five years before I actually asked for her hand in marriage. Our Wedding was the best thing ever!!

In our third year of marriage, our daughter Lara was born. She is an absolute Daddy's' girl and I am buying a gun - just to warn all the guys over there.

Two years later my son Keanu joined us - life will never be monotonous or the same.
