DOB - 1 December 1977
My
story is not a simple one. Born in South Africa - where my Croatian
Parents
travelled for a number of years - in Vanderbijlpark (ironically)
under surname Vujkov. At age of three Mama and Tajo decided to move back
to Croatia as they were missing their family too much.
In Croatia life was
not at all that simple, but for a child it was great. We lived close to
the forest so we kids - especially when my brother Zoran
was born - enjoyed playing there. In summer we would run the fields and
in winter we would build snowman and skii until Mama decided that we should
come into the house as the night is falling. In Croatia we started going
to school - however, that only lasted nine years. I was eleven when my
parents announced we are returning to the country I was born in. South
Africa.
It was hard to begin
all over. We spoke only Croatian - not a word of needed English or Afrikaans.
With hard work I succeeded and finished work at Oliver Lodge Primary,
Vaal High School and got a Diploma in IT at Technicon.
